Kau Kau

When Laura was here, we went to Kau Kau in the International District for dinner. Kau Kau is a nothing fancy Chinese barbecue joint, the kind with the dead animals hanging in the window. It’s a sparse restaurant that hasn’t updated the tables/chairs/plates/silverware since the ’70s.

But the food? So good! It’s old school Chinese barbecue. The pork… the duck… perfect. There’s nothing really to the food, so I can’t really describe it except to say that it’s very good. And cheap.

I went back again tonight for takeout. Very happy.
